Composition of the shampoo by Lush
This Lush product contains many precious ingredients that act differently on the hair and skin. It contains:
- fresh barbaforte
- caffeine powder
- menthol crystals
- rose and gardenia
- sea salt and Epson salts
- wasabi decoction
- olive oil
How do you use it?
You can use this shampoo just like I do, just like any other shampoo:
- Wet your hair with warm water;
- Pour the right amount of shampoo onto the palm of your hand;
- Add a few drops of water and start lathering your hair;
- If necessary, wet your hair a little more and apply the shampoo to every section, massaging gently;
- Rinse your hair thoroughly with plenty of water, taking care to remove any traces of the product;
Some people leave it on for a few minutes to boost the stimulating action on the hair follicles.

May opinion about Wasabi shampoo by Lush
I think this shampoo is the best ever for my hair type: my hair tends to be oily and fine, so overly moisturising shampoos tend to weigh it down. With this Lush shampoo, however, my hair is shiny (not greasy), slightly voluminous and my scalp feels fresh. I consider this Lush shampoo a 2-in-1 product: thanks to the salt grains, it also gently exfoliates the scalp.
When you apply the product to your skin, you feel a sensation of freshness, but when you massage it in, you can actually feel the grains of salt on your scalp. I should also mention that I use it no more than once a week!
When shampooing, be careful not to get the product in your eyes: it feels unpleasant and makes your eyes red!

FAQ shampoo Wasabi Shan Kui by Lush
- Does Lush’s Wasabi Shan Kui shampoo resemble other products from the brand?
Let’s say it brings to mind those that promise freshness, such as the Big sea salt mould.
- When is it not recommended to use it?
If you have an irritated, sensitive or wounded scalp, I suggest you do not use it because the salt grains exfoliate the skin. If you also have fine hair, it is better to opt for something else.
- Can it be used every day?
I do not recommend frequent use of this shampoo, but rather alternating this product with another. If your scalp is quite sensitive, you may experience discomfort.
When you have finished drying your hair, can you smell the fragrance on your hair?
Yes, I assure you that your hair really does smell lovely.
- Where can you buy Lush’s Wasabi Shan Kui shampoo?
You can find it in all of the brand’s shops, such as Lush in Lugano, both in Switzerland and Italy. Alternatively, you can purchase it on the Lush e-commerce site.
